When I was a kid... I barely knew what Bluegrass was. I definitely wasn't raised with it, and it wasn't until I was a little older and other musical influences had already infused themselves into my DNA, that I started down this path. Due to a severe lack of bluegrass roots myself, I found for the next 20-some-odd years that every time someone said, "Oh wow, you're a musician, what kind of music do you play?!" I responded a little abashed, "Well... It's Kinda Like Bluegrass...." Over the past several years I learned to embrace my unique style and began to respond in the same fashion with a sense of pride. So when I decided it was time to start my own Facebook group and help connect and promote other folks in the same predicament as me, I knew the name was always meant to be... "Kinda Like Bluegrass". This is Kinda Like Bluegrass, a Community for Bluegrass lovers, no matter where your roots began.
